GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Aureus School. I have a passion for comprehensive education and I firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. My approach is driven by my belief in inclusive education and centred around high expectations of all students. 

As the only co-educational comprehensive school in Didcot we have a fantastic student body whose range of attributes contribute to making Aureus School a vibrant community. I have the privilege to be working with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff body who are passionate about inspiring our young people every single day, enabling them to thrive.

Progress Evenings at Aureus School allow parents to connect with teachers and discuss their child's academic progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. These events foster open communication, collaborative goal-setting, and personalized support strategies. A careers adviser will also be attending this Progress Evening for the Yr9s and their families, to seek advice and guidance from. The MCAS (My Child at School) app is used for booking and organising teacher appointments.

A wonderful job opportunity has arisen, where you will work closely with our students and manage the daily operations of the student services provision. Your role will involve: *Supporting students to ensure their school day runs as smoothly as possible. * Providing First Aid when necessary. * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of students with medical needs, including assistance with administering and documenting any regular medications. * Organizing staff First Aid training. * Keeping records of First Aiders within the school. Our Yr9 Textiles students are going to be taking part in an upcycle challenge; creating fabulous fashionable & contemporary pieces out of old clothes, curtains, duvet covers, fabric remnants, etc... If you have anything like this and are tired of hiding them in your loft/back of your wardrobe/spare room, we would be very grateful if they could be donated for our students to use. Thank you, as always, for your support.

As you are aware, this marks our inaugural year for the full work-experience programme, and our current network of employer contacts is still quite limited. We are eager to secure placements for every student during the week beginning 22nd, June 2026 and we would greatly appreciate your help. If you, or anyone in your circle—friends, family, or personal contacts—might be open to hosting a student for one week, please reach out to them and inform Miss King at: a.king@aureusschool.org. We welcome all types of workplaces, and we are ready to provide any necessary information or support to facilitate the process for employers. Thank you sincerely for your help in providing our students with a valuable experience.

You can purchase them through ParentPay or buy with your bank card at Reception and they are ready to collect now. The MSA Trust provides crucial support and resources for individuals affected by Multiple System Atrophy, a rare neurological disorder. Your contribution will help fund vital research and offer much-needed assistance to those in need. We encourage everyone to get involved and make a difference this holiday season. The 'Build a Cell' House Competition. In this competition KS3 students were invited to construct or design an animal or plant cell and they were certainly some creative entries for Mr Tristram, Miss O’Rouke, Mrs Poulton & Miss James to judge! 1st place Florence T Yr 7 winning 40 points for Ashmolean 2nd place Leah S Yr 7 winning 30 points for Spires Joint 3rd Nathanial C Yr 8 winning 20 points for Trinity & Grace R Yr 8 winning 20 points for Spires Emily M, Vardhan & Amina also put forward some great entries and will each receive 10 points for their houses!
