GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Aureus School. I have a passion for comprehensive education and I firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. My approach is driven by my belief in inclusive education and centred around high expectations of all students. 

As the only co-educational comprehensive school in Didcot we have a fantastic student body whose range of attributes contribute to making Aureus School a vibrant community. I have the privilege to be working with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff body who are passionate about inspiring our young people every single day, enabling them to thrive.

Aureus is joining the Sleigh2give project again this year (ran by Play2Give) and we would love your help! If you have any unwanted new toys, (or would like to buy a toy especially for the appeal) we would be very grateful if they could be donated at Aureus School. After-school hours in the art room today were filled with a delightful ambiance. Miss Robins welcomed students from all year groups as they crafted Christmas cards, collaborated on the Aladdin stage set and diligently worked on their GCSE art coursework, all while enjoying music in the background. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening!

Our Yr9 @humanutopia Heroes took no time at all in helping our Yr4 Aureus Primary School students get settled into this afternoon's workshop. They worked really well completing the tasks in their groups and working as a team.

Congratulations and well done to Eric, in Yr11, who is this term's Didcot Rotary Club's 'Student of the Term'! Eric is a student who consistently makes a positive impact in his school community through kindness, leadership, and initiative. As a member of the prefect team, he actively participates in lunchtime duties, and his upbeat "can-do" attitude makes him well-liked by both his peers and teachers. His passion for dance truly shone at the recent creative arts showcase, and his performance in "Everyone's Talking About Jamie" was nothing less than inspiring. Eric is one of life's problem solvers; he always takes the needs of others into account, often putting them before his own. He greets everyone each day with a bright smile and wears his uniform with pride. When Eric leaves Aureus at the end of this year, he will have made a lasting contribution to making it a better place for everyone in the future.
