Well done to the students for completing day 1 of the summer camp for Science today. Microscopy and cells smashed it. Hope you remember your onions and your liver and potato experiments. A credit to your school.

And they’ve completed their expedition section! On their way back now! Well done!!!

The DofE students are in good spirits, if a little wet and heading on to the finish! Well done all of you!

Day 2 of walking has started for our Silver DofE students. Good luck!

Our Computing Masterclass was full today. Year 5 using brand new micro:bits and learning how to do 3D design in tinkercad. Mrs Strange had a great time with our computing experts of the future

Some of out very lucky Year 10s have travelled down to London today to see ‘Wicked’ at the Apollo Victoria Theatre! Enjoy!!

We had our first year 11 Prom last night and what a great night it was. The students had some lovely food, an Oscar’s awards ceremony and lots of dancing.

Faculty Charity week totals are in and we raised ❤️ Banksy 70.50 for The Royal British Legion, 💚 Malala £90.34 for Macmillan and 💙 Hawking £30 for Blue Sky Thinking.

In Biology we have replaced chicks with cress seeds. Year 7 have designed suitable environments to germinate and grow the best cress. Each class has a week to look after their environments and see who can grow the tallest.

The sun’s stop shining, but they’re still smiling!

We have now said goodbye to our chicks. They have been adopted in 2 groups of 3 and are going to lovely new homes. We will really miss them. It has been wonderful seeing all our students interact with them

Good luck this morning to our Yr9 Bronze DofE students, as they wake up to another beautiful and sunny day. Stay hydrated and sun-cream-ready! We’re so proud of you.

9 bronze DofE groups out on the ridgeway today. It’s a hot one but they are hydrated, creamed up and doing really well. Keep going guys, you’re doing great!

Today was Hawking’s charity day and tomorrow is Malala’s who are supporting . Let’s see if they can beat Banksy’s total of £71 ❤️💙💚

Year 11 – Information Regarding Qualifications in Summer 2022

Ofqual has published detailed information for schools, colleges and other exam centres regarding contingency plans should examinations not take place in 2022. The information can be viewed here.
'The Parentsguideto' website has produced a summary for Parents and Carers which is available for academic qualifications here.
To support students and teachers preparing for GCSE exams in 2022, the exam boards are required to provide Advance Information for most subjects. This video explains what advance information is, what it isn't, and how to use it:

Welcome to the Aureus School Exams Office page. You will find information concerning both public exams and internal assessments (Pre-Public Examinations -PPEs – also know as “mocks”) including Key Dates, Exam Boards and the Student Examination Guide which outlines rules and expectations for students during exams.

The Department for Education (DfE) intends the Summer 2022 exam series to proceed as normal, but with a contingency plan in place should this not be possible.

The Exam Boards have published their examination timetables, with GCSEs taking place between 16 May and 27 June 2022.

Please note that Wednesday 29 June 2022 has been designated as the Examinations Contingency Day. All students must be available on this day to sit exams, should there be disruption to timetabled exams on a National or local level.

The Exams Office is open in line with the school term and on GCSE Results Day in August. If you have any queries, please contact Mr D Minton (Exams Officer) via the email address or telephone number shown at the top of this page.
