On Sunday, the Didcot Remembrance Parade took place and Aureus School was proudly represented by Grace and Sophie P along with Warren and Sophie R, who placed the school wreath. It was a pleasure to see so many Aureus students represented in Guides, Scouts, and Cadets.

For our annual Remembrance service on Friday the 11th, we are inviting all Aureus service children and students who actively attend a Cadet Corps, Scouts or Guides to attend in their uniform. The service will begin at 10.30am in the quad.


If you are interested in joining our PCA (Parents & Carers Association), we want you! The PCA support Aureus by organising events in order to raise funds and also provide the opportunity for parents to get to know each other and become members of this supportive & friendly team.


Rehearsals for our School Production of The Wizard of Oz are well under way!


Yesterday, a selection of our students visited the Houses of Parliament. Students toured the House of commons, the Great Hall and met our local MP David Johnston for a question & answer session at the Education Centre.


Nominate a teacher for a National Teaching Award. Help us recognise and celebrate the outstanding work do by nominating them for a National Teaching Award. The awards are free, there are 16 categories to choose from.


Today Museum of Natural History's HOPE project visited some of our Year 7 and 9 students to learn how to be entomologists. A very exceptional day of practical learning about those of which are all around us!


Open evening is happening from 5pm to 7pm today. No need to book just come along. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. Our new catering company will be here so you can see what happens in our new hub.


We express our deepest sympathies for the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Her dedication to the UK, other realms & territories is unparalleled. We thank her for her service. Our school will observe the mourning period whilst continuing to support our children, families & staff.


Monday marked the start of a new school year for our lovely Year 7s. In just a few short days, they have settled into the Aureus way of life and there have been plenty of smiling faces positive comments.

Welcome to the Aureus School Exams Office page. You will find information concerning both public exams and internal assessments (Pre-Public Examinations -PPEs – also known as “mocks”) including Key Dates, Exam Boards and the Student Examination Guide which outlines rules and expectations for students during exams.

The Department for Education (DfE) currently intends the Summer 2023 exam series to proceed as normal without any adjustments.

The Exam Boards should publish their examination timetables between November and December 2022. Details will be updated as soon as they are released.

Subjects with Non-Examination Assessments (NEAs) are normally expected to be completed in April. Subject teachers will confirm exact deadline dates with Year 11 students for their subject as soon as they are confirmed by exam boards.

Government and Ofqual Update about Summer 2023 Final Exams

The government and Ofqual have released details of the intended return to pre-pandemic grading and confirmed that there will be no adaptations to qualifications (Examinations or Non-Examination Assessments) for the Summer 2023 exam series.
