Kicking off the football season

Our first Year 7 football team kicked off the season with a match against Matthew Arnold School this week.

It was a thrilling match and we played extremely well considering the team have not long been together. Although we lost the match 3-0, the students created lots of scoring opportunities but luck was not on their side.

Mr Hayden, PE Teacher, said: “The year 7 team competed so well throughout the game and were really unlucky not to get a positive result. Aureus School’s player of the match was Terrence, he was a rock in defence!”
