GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The Mayor's Annual Fundraising Ball

Last Saturday, April 2nd, eight of our courageous and talented Aureus students performed at the Mayors Ball at the Civic Hall in Didcot. The Annual Mayor's Ball is a big fundraising dinner and disco where the local dignitaries and business owners are invited. The aim is to raise money for the Mayor's chosen charity. 
Amongst our performers were singers: Noah (Yr 9) and Skyla (Yr 9), who sang 'Rewrite the Stars' from The Greatest Showman. Skyla also sang a solo: People Help the People and Isabella (Yr9) also sang.
There was a stunning and very emotive dance piece from Maddie (Yr10) and Olivia (Yr10) as well as beautifully performed piano solos from Patrick (Yr10), Bee (Yr10) and Alice (Yr10). 
The audience were very impressed, not only by the students' obvious talent, but also how they carried themselves at such an important event.
