Our students took part in drop down Careers Days this week, exploring the connection between school and the world of work.
Year 7 students took part in a series of hands on, fun activities where they worked on the early stages of launching a fledgling business, balancing a budget as well as creating a brand identity and marketing strategy.
All students took park in the "Tenner Masterclass", competing in teams to make the most money in a fast-paced Business Challenge. They learnt key principles surrounding market research, supply and demand, quality vs quantity and the importance of knowing their competition. They will apply what they learnt to the upcoming Tenner Challenge.
Year 8 students also participated in Human Library sessions where they got to meet local ambassadors in small groups from a variety of careers.
