During the week of 21st September, Aureus students took part in a variety of activities to celebrate European Day of Languages. In each subject, students had a Do Now Activity which looked at how languages could help them in that subject and in their chosen careers. They also looked at how the skills they learn in different subjects can help them in their languages lessons too!
In coaching time, Mrs Pearce presented an assembly on how we can make people feel welcome at Aureus by using languages and celebrating our home and community languages too.
The European Day of Languages is observed on 26th September every year, jointly organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union. Its aim is to encourage language learning across Europe.
