Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We have been so pleased to see so many families this week at our Parent Information Evenings. We know that when families, school, and students work together, our children achieve the greatest success.
We were delighted to launch our trips provision for this academic year, including indicative costs to help families plan ahead with confidence. We are also thrilled to share that, for the first time, we will be offering work experience for Year 10 this year. This exciting provision has only been made possible thanks to the incredible hard work of our staff in continuously improving opportunities for our students.
If you were not able to attend one of our events this week, please follow Parent Information Evening to our website where you can view the slides. If you did attend, we would very much welcome your feedback to help us plan for the future—please take a moment to complete this short form.
We are so proud of our students, who are already racking up positive points for the year. In assemblies this week, Mrs Powell launched our House Competitions, and I am really looking forward to seeing as many students as possible take part. If your child feels there isn’t yet a competition that appeals to them, please encourage them to share their ideas with us—we love hearing their suggestions, and their participation really matters.
Just a reminder: school will close early on Thursday 9th October at 13:05 to allow us to prepare for our Open Evening. On Friday 10th October, school will be closed to students for a staff INSET day.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Kirsty Rogers
