Head Teacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We’ve had a wonderful week in school, filled with celebrations, achievements and community spirit.
Last Friday was National Teaching Assistant Day, and we took the opportunity to thank our amazing team of Teaching Assistants for the incredible work they do every single day in supporting our students. On Monday, I was also privileged to present the Teaching Assistant of the Year Award to Ms Geels in recognition of her outstanding dedication and commitment to both our students and our school.
We were equally proud to celebrate being named Runner-Up in the Sustainable Secondary School of the Year Awards. This fantastic achievement is down to the tireless work of our Eco Committee, led by our Year 11 students Molly, James and Angelina. A massive well done to them and to everyone involved in making our school more environmentally friendly.
It has also been a joy to see so many of our students excelling outside of school this week. From success in football and Taekwondo, to impressive achievements in the arts, our students continue to shine. Several of our performers have secured roles in local pantomimes and upcoming shows for the Christmas season, while rehearsals for our own school production of Aladdin are already shaping up to be an incredible show. If you haven’t yet purchased tickets please use the links below to do so.

Finally, a couple of important reminders for next week:
- Thursday: School will close to students at 13:05 to allow staff to prepare for Open Evening. Students who wish to purchase lunch must do so at break time. Those volunteering to help with Open Evening should return to school at 4:00pm.
- Friday: School will be closed to students for INSET training.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I am so proud of everything our school community is achieving, and I look forward to another successful week ahead.
Kind Regards
Kirsty Rogers
