Recognition
At Aureus, we believe in recognising and celebrating students who demonstrate excellence, commitment and positive contributions to our school community. Recognition is an important part of school life and helps to reinforce the behaviours, attitudes and values that enable all students to thrive, both in school and beyond.
Our expectations are simple: all students should be Ready, Respectful and Safe. We take every opportunity to acknowledge students who consistently embody these expectations and who demonstrate our core values of Ambition, Resilience and Respect.
Recognition takes many forms, from positive conversations and verbal praise to house points, certificates and opportunities to be celebrated through our wider school recognition programme. Students can be recognised during lessons, coaching time, breaktimes and lunchtimes, reflecting the many ways they contribute positively to school life.
We celebrate students for a wide range of achievements, including exceptional approach to learning, sustained effort, leadership, kindness and positive contributions to the school community. Students are recognised when they demonstrate Ambition by striving for excellence and embracing challenge, Resilience by persevering when faced with difficulties and learning from setbacks, and Respect through their actions towards others, themselves and the wider school environment.
By recognising both effort and achievement, we encourage all students to take pride in their accomplishments, strive for their personal best and make a positive difference to the lives of those around them.

Our Core Values: 
All staff at Aureus School can award recognition points to students for going above and beyond. Students with the most positive points in a week are invited to hot chocolate with Ms Rogers, our Headteacher. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to share with Ms Rogers their achievements.
