Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We are so pleased to see that families are recognising the importance of regular school attendance. Coming to school every day not only leads to better outcomes for students, but also helps them feel a real sense of belonging to our school community. We want every student to be here, to be happy, and to be safe. Our theme for this year is creating a sense of belonging, and we know that attendance is at the heart of this. If there are any barriers preventing your child from attending regularly, please do get in touch with your child’s coach so that we can support you.
It has been a fantastic week for Creative Arts. Students have enjoyed a number of dance workshops, and rehearsals for our production of Aladdin are now underway. We are incredibly proud of our students for their enthusiasm and commitment to getting involved in these opportunities.
A quick reminder about aerosols and perfume in school: please can you remind your children not to use these indoors. We have several members of our school community with severe allergies, and spraying these products inside poses a serious risk. Unfortunately, we have seen more students attempting to do this recently, and we want to ensure that everyone feels safe.
Finally, we are really looking forward to welcoming families into school next week for our Information Events which will take place in the hall at 5:30pm:
Year 7 & 8 – Tuesday 23rd September
Year 9 & 10 – Wednesday 24th September
Year 11 – Thursday 25th September
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.
Kind Regards
Kirsty Rogers
