GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Aureus School. I have a passion for comprehensive education and I firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. My approach is driven by my belief in inclusive education and centred around high expectations of all students. 

As the only co-educational comprehensive school in Didcot we have a fantastic student body whose range of attributes contribute to making Aureus School a vibrant community. I have the privilege to be working with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff body who are passionate about inspiring our young people every single day, enabling them to thrive.

In DT, Mr Butler and his students, would really like to build a compost bin, fire pit and a shelter for outdoor classes to protect against heat, wind, and rain. We need railway sleepers or scaffold planks for planters and large timber and bricks/stone for the shelter and fire pit. We are also looking for spades, forks, rakes and wheelbarrows to build a raised bed for a small kitchen garden. We would be so grateful for any donations and we are able to collect if needed.

We are thrilled to announce that Benji has officially become a Team England Soloist at the Dance World Cup 2026! With more than 9,700 entries from across England, securing 3rd place nationwide for his Song & Dance is an incredible accomplishment—particularly since this is his first time competing with DWC! Well done, Benji! You are a star!

What a wonderful evening filled with Bingo fun! Our community came together to engage in some exciting rounds of Bingo. The prizes included a fantastic variety, such as alcoholic beverages, selection boxes, sweets, chocolates, candles, and much more. Progress Evenings at Aureus School allow parents to connect with teachers and discuss their child's academic progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. These events foster open communication, collaborative goal-setting, and personalized support strategies. A careers adviser will also be attending this Progress Evening for the Yr9s and their families, to seek advice and guidance from. The MCAS (My Child at School) app is used for booking and organising teacher appointments.

A wonderful job opportunity has arisen, where you will work closely with our students and manage the daily operations of the student services provision. Your role will involve: *Supporting students to ensure their school day runs as smoothly as possible. * Providing First Aid when necessary. * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of students with medical needs, including assistance with administering and documenting any regular medications. * Organizing staff First Aid training. * Keeping records of First Aiders within the school. Our Yr9 Textiles students are going to be taking part in an upcycle challenge; creating fabulous fashionable & contemporary pieces out of old clothes, curtains, duvet covers, fabric remnants, etc... If you have anything like this and are tired of hiding them in your loft/back of your wardrobe/spare room, we would be very grateful if they could be donated for our students to use. As you are aware, this marks our inaugural year for the full work-experience programme, and our current network of employer contacts is still quite limited. We are eager to secure placements for every student during the week beginning 22nd, June 2026 and we would greatly appreciate your help.
