Headteacher's Weekly Update

Dear Families,

What a wonderful week of celebration!

We were absolutely delighted to host our annual Celebration Evening on Wednesday—a truly special occasion to honour our students who consistently demonstrate our core values of ambition, resilience, and respect. It was an inspiring evening that reminded us all of the incredible young people we are fortunate to work with every day.

A special thank you to Olly Glover for joining us for the evening and for his ongoing support of our school community. It’s always a pleasure to welcome him and share the achievements of our students.

A special mention must also go to our Head Prefects, Max and Kidest, who gave their very first speech representing the school. I am incredibly proud of you both, you spoke with such confidence and passion. You did yourselves and our school proud.

Alongside the celebration, we were thrilled to host our annual Art Exhibition, a stunning showcase of the creative and thoughtful work produced by our students. The evening was made even more memorable by the contributions of our fantastic Hospitality and Catering students and staff, who prepared a delicious afternoon tea that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you for your hard work and professionalism.

It’s also been a week packed with enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Our Year 8 students enjoyed a fun and engaging visit to the I Brick House of Fun, where they had the chance to design and build their own cars. Our Year 10 Geographers headed to the coast for a fieldwork trip, applying their classroom learning in a real-world setting. And we waved off our determined Silver Duke of Edinburgh students on Thursday as they embarked on their expedition—best of luck to all involved!

A huge thank you to all the staff and students who have helped to organise, lead, and support these brilliant events. Your dedication makes our school such a vibrant and inclusive place, where everyone can feel a strong sense of belonging.

Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable weekend.

Kind Regards

Kirsty Rogers
