Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We’ve been absolutely thrilled to see so many of our students excel beyond the classroom—from sporting triumphs to incredible performances in the arts. It’s a real privilege to celebrate their successes, and we encourage you to keep sending in your child’s achievements so we can continue to celebrate as a community.
We’re also delighted to have been featured in the most recent episode of the Didcot Podcast. It was an honour to be invited to speak about the journey our school has been on and the positive changes we’ve made together in such a short space of time. Thank you to the students, staff and families for being part of this transformation.
A special mention must go to our Year 11 students, who are now approaching the final stretch of their GCSE exams. Many have just a small number of papers left, and we could not be prouder of the resilience, ambition, and sheer hard work they have shown throughout the exam period. At the same time, our Year 10 students have begun their mock exams this week and are demonstrating the same level of dedication to their studies—laying strong foundations for the year ahead.
Our students have continued to show the true spirit of community through their outreach work. This week, our young musicians visited Lydalls Nursery, where they introduced the children to a variety of musical instruments and shared some of the fantastic pieces they’ve been working on. It was a heartwarming and educational experience for all involved.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 science provision remains a standout success. During a recent workshop, our visiting students explored the pH scale, learning how to test substances and understand their properties—an exciting hands-on experience that truly brought science to life.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Kind Regards
Kirsty Rogers
