GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

School Standards Board (SSB)

Our SSB Chair can be contacted on  kbrown1@glfschools.org

Our SSB meets once per half term and provides the local governance function for Aureus School which fits within the overall governance structure of GLF Schools. Further information about governance at GLF Schools can be found here.

The three core functions of governance are:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  2. Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management, including well-being, of staff
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

The SSB continues to have parent representatives and representatives from the local community, together with our Headteacher and representatives from the Trust’s central team. It remains important that our SSB comprises the right people with the right skills to make appropriate and informed decisions for the school, taking into account the views of students, staff, parents and the local community.
