Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is at the heart of the education we offer. We provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which provides continuity and progression. Students are taught a wide range of subjects, which are ambitious in nature yet tailored to their individual needs.
At Key Stage Three our curriculum provides a rich and varied education which is allows students to study subjects in depth and not merely prepare for KS4 exams. All students follow the National Curriculum, which consists of the core subjects of English, Maths and Science together with the foundation subjects of Performing Arts, Music, PE, Art, Geography, History, French, Dance and Ethics. We also offer Global Citizenship which encompasses our PSHE provision alongside Careers Education and Guidance.
At Key Stage Four students continue to study a broad curriculum whilst also selecting Option subjects to study in depth. All students study Maths, English Language, English Literature and Science to GCSE level. They also have PE and Ethics lessons. Students also choose three options from the list below: (this should be the subjects list table).
The formal curriculum is enhanced by our Inner Curriculum which includes:
- Global Citizenship which integrates PSHE and SMSC
- Careers Education and Guidance
