GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Headteacher
Ms Rogers was appointed as Headteacher in September 2023 bringing her valuable experience from her previous roles. She embodies visionary leadership and a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and the overall success of our school community. Ms Rogers provides the strategic direction and fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous school improvement. She leads by example, setting high standards for teaching, learning and professional conduct, while also fostering a culture of mutual respect and accountability among staff, students and parents. 

 

John O'ReganMr John O’Regan
Deputy Headteacher, Curriculum and Standards 

Mr O’Regan joined the school in January 2020 as Deputy Headteacher. His responsibilities are centred around curriculum and assessment, with primary duties of managing the options process, shaping the curriculum model and ensuring the effective implementation of the school’s curriculum intent across all departments. Additionally, Mr O’Regan oversees the assessment of students, meticulously evaluating how the curriculum is facilitating their progress and academic development.

Mrs Vicki Knight
Deputy Headteacher, Pastoral

Mrs Knight joined the school in January 2024 as Deputy Headteacher. Her primary focus lies in providing exemplary pastoral care, ensuring each student feels supported throughout their educational journey. Mrs Knight leads on behaviour for learning, fostering a responsible, supportive school community. As our Designated Safeguarding Lead, she prioritises the safety and welfare of all our students, implementing robust safeguarding policies and procedures. She is instrumental in coordinating effective pastoral support systems, offering tailored support when needed.

Mr Amjad Ali
Assistant Headteacher, Inclusion 

Mr Ali joined Aureus School as part of the founding Senior Leadership Team. He is responsible for inclusion which plays a pivotal role in ensuring every student receives the support to thrive academically and socially. He leads efforts to enhance the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to personalised support tailored to their individual needs. In addition to this, Mr Ali oversees the provision for students in receipt of Pupil Premium funding, working to eliminate barriers to learning and providing targeted support.

Assistant Headteacher, Teaching and Learning 

Mrs Powell joined Aureus in September 2018. As Assistant Headteacher responsible for teaching and learning, she is at the forefront of driving academic success within our school community. She leads initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching and learning across all departments. Mrs Powell collaborates closely with teachers to develop innovative pedagogical approaches, ensuring that classroom practices are engaging, inclusive and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Through ongoing professional development and mentoring, she empowers staff to continuously refine their teaching and incorporate best practices into their every day. 

 

Carolyn Saul


Ms Carolyn Saul
Assistant Headteacher, Personal Development 

Ms Saul joined the school in January 2019. Her main responsibilities are centred around the holistic growth and wellbeing of our students, in and beyond the classroom. With a comprehensive approach to personal development, she oversees careers guidance, global citizenship and attendance. Ms Saul is dedicated to supporting students in their journey towards future career paths, providing guidance, resources and opportunities for exploration and skill development. She leads on trips and visits to ensure our students get the opportunity to build on their cultural capital. In addition to this, Ms Saul diligently monitors and addresses attendance concerns, recognising the crucial link between regular attendance and academic success.
