Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
It has been a productive return to school after the half term break, with students engaging positively in a range of activities and opportunities.
Our Year 8 students took part in a visit from iBrick, where they explored a series of structured, hands-on workshops using LEGO® resources. These sessions supported the development of problem-solving, collaboration and creativity, and it was pleasing to see students working thoughtfully and with sustained focus throughout.
Year 11 have returned to their GCSE examinations following half term and have settled well back into the routine. They continue to approach this period with a commendable level of concentration and resilience, and we remain committed to supporting them fully as the examination season progresses.
In Art, Year 10 pupils have been completing their mock examinations. They have approached this work with care and commitment, producing wonderful pieces of work which display their skill development and creative thinking.
Auditions have now begun for our next school production, Beauty and the Beast. There has been a strong level of interest from pupils across year groups, and we look forward to seeing the production take shape over the coming weeks.
We were also pleased to welcome back one of our Aureus alumni, Sophie, who returned to lead a contemporary dance workshop. It was valuable for our students to learn from her experience, and it is always encouraging to see former students continuing to pursue their ambitions. As she prepares to begin university later this year, we wish her every success.
