Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
It has been another wonderfully busy and purposeful week across the school.
Our sailing group enjoyed yet another fantastic morning on the water this week. It is a pleasure to see how much confidence they gain with each session, not only in their sailing skills but in their teamwork, communication and resilience. Their progress week on week is something to be very proud of.
School has also been buzzing with entrepreneurial energy as our young entrepreneurs have been setting up their businesses and preparing for their stalls over the coming weeks. The enthusiasm, creativity and determination they have shown has been impressive, and we very much look forward to seeing their ideas come to life both in school and when they join our Friends of Aureus at the Summer Fair.
Duke of Edinburgh students set off yesterday on their Silver Expedition and I had a wonderful time chatting to them at their first camp ground last night. They have powered through the blisters, the achy shoulders and have had a wonderful time so far. I look forward to hearing more on Monday.
This week has also marked the beginning of the written GCSE examinations for our Year 11 students. We are incredibly proud of how calmly and maturely they have approached this important stage of their journey. They have worked hard to prepare themselves and we know they will continue to give their very best over the coming weeks. We are already looking forward to celebrating their achievements together at Prom, tickets are now on sale.
