Headteacher's Weekly Update

Dear Families,

Last Sunday marked International Women’s Day, and we have taken time this week to celebrate the incredible women across our school community who inspire us daily. From the students who bring their best selves to school each day, to the dedicated staff who champion equality and opportunity, we are proud to honour their contributions. As the International Women’s Day campaign highlights, this is a moment to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination, and take action to forge gender parity, values we see reflected in our school every day.

We have also been thrilled to see so many students sharing their achievements outside of school. Whether in sports, creative arts, volunteering, or personal milestones, we love celebrating these successes within our community.

Our netball team represented us brilliantly at the GLF Foundation Tournament this week. Events like these remind us of the joy and strength that comes from being part of a wider trust,  a community where collaboration, shared values, and opportunities allow our students to grow, learn and flourish.

As we approach the end of term, we kindly ask for your support in ensuring that children arrive at school on time and fully equipped each day. The final weeks can be tiring, and we are noticing an increase in students who are not quite ready to begin their learning. A little extra support in the mornings goes a long way in helping them finish the term positively.

A reminder that next week we are hosting a family event focused on understanding social media and supporting your children to stay safe online. With increasingly worrying reports about the use of social media to promote violence, particularly involving young people, this is a vital moment for us, as adults, to stay informed and proactive.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Kind regards,

Kirsty Rogers
