Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Christmas break. It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back to school this week. Despite the cold weather, our students have returned with great energy and enthusiasm, ready to embrace new learning opportunities and settle quickly back into school life.
As we begin the new term, we are especially looking forward to welcoming our Year 9 families to the Options Event next week. This marks an important milestone in each student’s educational journey, as they begin the process of choosing their GCSE options. These decisions help shape the next stage of their learning, and we are committed to supporting every student and their families throughout this exciting and sometimes challenging process. The event will provide guidance, information, and the chance to explore the wide range of subjects available.
This week, our assemblies have focused on the theme “Why do I need resilience at Aureus?” Students have been encouraged to reflect on how resilience helps them overcome challenges, stay motivated, and grow both academically and personally. It has been inspiring to see them engage thoughtfully with this theme as they set goals for the term ahead.
Finally, we welcomed Year 5 students to our very first masterclasses this week. Our Aureus Ambassadors supported the science session with pride, conducting experiments and introducing the students to our wonderful science laboratories.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We look forward to a positive and productive term.
Kind regards,
Kirsty Rogers
