Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
This week has been all about Year 9 as our options process is now fully underway. It has been wonderful to see students engaging so thoughtfully with their future pathways. Staff have taken the time to talk through subject choices with students, helping them reflect carefully on what inspires them and where their strengths lie.
Our Options Evening was a fantastic success. Students approached their taster sessions with real maturity and curiosity, and the atmosphere throughout the evening was incredibly positive. A huge thank you to all staff for the preparation, enthusiasm, and support you brought to the event, it truly made a difference.
I would also like to extend a massive thank you to our Friends of Aureus team. Their fundraising efforts this year have been outstanding. In fact, they have been so successful that we are now at the point where we need to apply for charity status. This is an exciting step, but it also means we need additional, regular volunteers to help ensure we have the required number of people to make official decisions around spending.
Every penny raised by the Friends of Aureus goes toward enhancing your child’s school experience, and we want to be able to continue doing exactly that, but we can only do it with your support. If you are able to give any amount of time, no matter how small, we would be incredibly grateful.
