Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We’ve had an inspiring week at school, and I’m delighted to share some highlights with you.
We were thrilled to welcome back Humanutopia, who delivered their Heroes Programme to our Year 9 students. This nationally recognised initiative is designed to help young people develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills by becoming positive role models for others. Through the programme, students explore five key areas: Hope, Confidence, Happiness, Relationships, and Employability, equipping them to make positive changes in their own lives and support their peers.
Following their training, our newly appointed Heroes met Year 4 students from Aureus Primary School as part of our transition programme. This partnership ensures younger pupils feel supported and reassured about their future move to secondary school, while giving our older students the chance to lead and inspire. It’s wonderful to see these relationships forming and the impact they have on both groups.
On Thursday, Year 10 students visited Vertex, a leading pharmaceutical company, for their annual careers trip. This experience gave them a valuable insight into the world of science and innovation, and the many career opportunities available in this sector. We are incredibly fortunate to have such outstanding businesses in our local area, and we deeply appreciate the support they provide to our school.
We have a small number of Chirtsmas cards left for our MSA Trust fundraising. Packs of 10 cards are available for just £3, with all profits going directly to the charity. Please purchase these on ParentPay.
A huge thank you to all families who have taken part in our Stakeholder Voice survey. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will be reviewing all the data over the coming weeks. We’ll share the actions we plan to take in the new year to ensure your voices continue to shape our school’s future.
