Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We have had an incredible start to the school year, and I couldn’t be prouder of our students.
Our new Year 7s have already begun to find their feet. On their very first day, they spent time in their coaching groups, getting to know one another and learning the systems and structures of the school. They settled in wonderfully, and it was a real joy to see them making such a positive start. We are excited to share with you their first Aureus School Photo. Please look out for a letter from Mrs Knight with details on how to purchase these should you wish.
We then welcomed back the rest of our school community, who impressed us from the very first moment. It was fantastic to see so many students return full of enthusiasm—eager to learn, to share what they had been up to over the summer, and to talk about their goals for the year ahead. Many spoke about their desire to improve themselves, which is exactly the spirit we hope to instill. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
On the first day, we came together for a whole-school assembly, where I shared our vision and plans for the year. Together, we are determined to make this our best year yet—and I am delighted to say that our students are braced and ready to rise to the challenge of being even better.
I would also like to share some news about our new bus service. As with anything new, there were a few teething problems when the route began on the first day. However, I am pleased to say these have now been resolved, and we are very happy to have this extra provision in place for our students. If you are considering signing up, please click here for more details.
Thank you, as always, for your support. We look forward to keeping you updated on all the wonderful things happening in school as the year unfolds.
Kind regards
Kirsty Rogers
