Aureus School Dance Showcase takes place in Didcot
Young dancers took centre stage in a showcase celebrating creativity, collaboration and achievement.

The Aureus School Dance Showcase took place on Friday, 13th March, at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot, featuring students from Years 7 to 11 as well as guest performers and alumni.
Amy King, head of performing arts at the school, said: "The Aureus Dance Showcase is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and performance, bringing together students from across the school to share their work on a professional stage. "The show featured a diverse range of pieces created through curriculum study, enrichment clubs, and student-led choreography."

Aureus School is part of the GLF Schools multi-academy trust and is located in the Didcot Great Western Park development in Oxfordshire.
Two hundred people attended the event, which also featured a guest performance by ML7 Dance, a company run by a former Aureus student. Miss King said: "The company is run by a former Aureus student who has gone on to establish a thriving, local dance school, and it was a real celebration of our community to welcome them back to perform. "Their piece brought brilliant energy to the event, and offered our students an inspiring example of where passion for dance can lead."
