Headteacher's Weekly Update
Dear Families,
We have had a truly wonderful start to the new term. I always find that as the mornings grow lighter and the days grow longer, we all gain a renewed sense of energy, and this week has been no exception. Our students have returned full of enthusiasm: excited to see their friends, eager to share what they’ve been up to over the holidays, and ready to get back into learning. The positive atmosphere around school has been a joy to see.
Year 11 are currently in the middle of their final set of mock exams, and they have been incredible. Mock weeks are always challenging, with a demanding schedule designed to help them prepare for the real thing. Despite this, they have approached every exam with maturity, determination, and an impressive work ethic. It’s clear how much effort they have been putting in, and we are extremely proud of the way they are rising to the challenge.
On Tuesday evening, we were delighted to host a Ramadan Iftar dinner in partnership with the Oxford Dialogue Society. It was a truly special occasion, bringing together families, staff, and members of our wider community. The theme of building community trust was reflected beautifully throughout the evening. Sharing food, conversation, and time together reminded us of the strength that comes from unity and the importance of creating a school environment where everyone feels they belong. Events like this allow us to live out our values not just through what we say, but through what we do and we are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the night so meaningful.
