GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Dear Families, 

This week has been truly incredible as we welcomed back Humanutopia to deliver their inspiring Who Am I? programme with our Year 9 students. This marks the next stage of their leadership journey, where they explore what kind of role model they aspire to be. We are so excited to see them grow, learn, and flourish through this experience, especially as they prepare to support our current Year 7s later in the year.

Our Year 10 students also had a fantastic opportunity to visit Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they explored a wide range of careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Students took part in hands-on workshops in Vertex’s Learning Lab, discovering how cutting-edge science and innovation are used to improve lives. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a world-class company right on our doorstep, inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.
