We made playdoh figures once to represent those more “negative” views of ourselves. Then squashed them and built ourselves looking strong/beautiful/confident. Interestingly, the “positive” people were usually taller the second time!

Aureus Community Arts Opportunities

Aureus School is a brand new school commissioned by Oxford County Council and sponsored by GLF Schools.

It has been designated as a STEM school but the Headteacher and staff are keen to create a STEAM community so that the whole school develop STEM skills alongside developing an appreciation of the Arts.

We believe that the Arts are an integral part to the holistic development of the whole child.

At Aureus we pledge to Nurture the Hearts and Minds of our children, of our community so that they can all Grow, Learn and Flourish.

Which is why we have pledged to the following as part of our Community Arts provision:

  • An Artist in Residence
  • An Art Gallery
  • An Art Therapy Room
  • Creativity Days

We have an amazing provision with a stunning space and excellent resources.

With only 360 Year 7 and 8 students, we are space rich.

We let some of our spaces out as part of our community offer but we also host community activities including an Art Exhibition Space to showcase local artists.

If are interested in contributing to our community arts offer, then please complete the EOI and we will be in touch:
