Character Toolkit for Teachers"Character Toolkit for Teachers" book launch (South) event

22nd May 2018
6pm - 7.30pm

On Tuesday 22nd May Aureus School in Didcot will host the launch of “Character Toolkit for Teachers”, a book aimed at teachers of 5-11 year olds, with 100+ classroom and whole school Character Education Activities for the classroom and whole school.

The launch event will take place from 6pm to 7.30pm. Teachers, parents and anyone else with an interest in supporting the well-being and character strengths development of children is welcome to attend, but booking is essential as it will be a small intimate event.

As well as a book signing and special offers, the book launch event will offer the chance to experience some of the book’s activities, and to mingle and network over drinks.

“We have chosen Aureus School as a setting for our book launch”, says co-author Frederika Roberts. “because it’s a fantastic school with values that completely embody everything that 'Character Toolkit' is about, set within a stunning and spacious modern building.”

Co-author Elizabeth Wright first ‘met’ Aureus executive Headteacher Hannah Wilson on Twitter. “Hannah has always been very supportive of mine and Frederika’s work, and we were delighted when she agreed to host our book launch in her beautiful school” she says.

“Frederika and Elizabeth bring to life the theory of character education as bitesize practical chunks in this teacher-friendly guide. They have done the hard work for us in distilling the reading into suggestions for how to apply it in a school (or a home) environment” says Hannah Wilson. “Given our holistic values-based approach to education, holding Frederika and Elizabeth’s book launch in our school facilities seemed like a perfect fit.” The book’s authors are co-founders of ‘RWS | Resilience Wellbeing Success’ (www.rws.today), a character education and positive psychology organisation set up in 2015 with the aim of helping communities flourish. Frederika and Elizabeth deliver workshops, presentations and programmes to schools, businesses and community organisations. “Character Toolkit for Teachers” is available to pre-order from all major online booksellers and will be released on 21st May 2018.
